in the fresh days of spring and the crisp afternoons of autumn, a soft, slouchy beanie is the perfect companion for hikes and foraging excursions. a casual 1×1 ribbed knit makes the forager’s toque nice and stretchy, to accommodate whatever kind of great head you’ve got. a bonus is that it can be turned upside down at a moment’s notice to hold your foraged finds!
our forager’s toques are made with entirely midwest alpaca fiber; check for current color availability.
forager’s toques do not currently feature our hand-drawn tags, due to the emergence of some quality issues with the tags.

*get involved in sustainable textiles!* our process involves ordering raw fiber directly from farmers. we bring the fiber home in a big sack and do all the necessary processing – washing, combing, spinning, knitting or weaving – in small batches, using ancient methods that do not rely on electricity, to create textile pieces that will serve you, and that like you, will one day go back to the earth from which they came. we believe this process to be healing, freeing and worshipful, and we want you to be a part of it!
