a trusty bar of soap will take you far in your life-journey, and even better is a bar of soap that can travel with you. as a bit of a vagabond myself, my soap is quite often also traveling, and along the way i’ve discovered the great niftiness of a soap bag – essentially, a portable soap dish, which keeps air circulating around the soap to protect against sliminess. a soap bag, unlike a dish, can be hung almost anywhere, which is very helpful for those of us whose bathrooms tend to change location. a soap bag also has the added skill set of being a built-in exfoliating washcloth, and of corralling bits of soap too small to hold. and of course, our soap bags are handwoven, using organic cotton yarn and handspun linen yarn. a beautiful, minimalist, comforting way to keep clean wherever you are.
